Women’s Tennis drops matches to Asbury, Wooster

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Concordia Wisconsin began its spring break trip on a sour note with a pair of setbacks on Tuesday, dropping a 7-2 decision to Asbury before losing 6-3 against Wooster.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- During the Falcons non-conference matchup against Asbury, it was sophomore Emma Sievers (Slinger, Wis.) and senior Sabine Jacobsen (Palatine, Ill.) who were able to win during singles play. Sievers recorded a tough 7-5, 7-5 victory at No. 5 singles, while Jacobsen earned a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.
- Concordia Wisconsin was down 2-1 after doubles play against Wooster, which included a Sievers/Jacobsen 8-4 doubles win at the No. 3 position.
- Sievers again picked up another victory at No. 5 singles with a 6-4, 6-2 match in her favor, while Jacobsen tallied a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
