- The Falcons return a lot of experience, with six players that had at least 13 singles wins from last year. Those returning players for CUW combined for 103 wins and 59 losses in singles play.
- Senior Elizabeth Carroll (Hartford, Wis.) led the team last year with a 20-6 overall record and a perfect 9-0 record in the NACC. Senior Sabine Jacobsen (Palatine, Ill.) is also returning for her final year, as she looks to build off of a 13-7 overall record and a perfect 9-0 NACC record from her 2016 campaign.
- Concordia Wisconsin vs. Carroll is nothing new, as this will be their 11th meeting since 2006. The Pioneers are leading the series 7-3, however, the Falcons have won the last two meetings with their biggest victory coming last year (8-1).
- CUW has won the NACC title two years in a row and they are looking to defend it again this upcoming season. The Falcons return six starters after finishing 16-11 overall (10-0 NACC). Concordia Wisconsin supports a 20-8 home record the last three years making it a difficult place to win for opposing teams.
