MILWAUKEE – Freshman Alexandra Tomich recorded a hat trick in leading the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Soccer team to a convincing 8-1 win over Alverno Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons will now turn their attention to the NACC Tournament where they will host a First Round matchup Sunday.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tomich (Mission Viejo, Calif.) entered the match with one career assist but still in search of her first career collegiate goal. Once she got one out of the way, she had no trouble finding more scores in her hat trick effort. Tomich scored the first goal of the match in the 18th minute and added scores in the 24th and 33rd minutes as well. Tomich also assisted on an Allison McElwee (Laramie, Wyo.) score in the 27th minute.  Kayla Schlosser (Germantown, Wis.) had an assist on the final Tomich score.

- Adding scores in the six-goal first half for the Falcons was Carrol, McElwee and Brooke Keller (Belgium, Wis.). Kaitlyn Gries (Arlington Heights, Ill.) assisted on Keller's score and added an assist on a second-half goal by McKenna Kowalski (Milwaukee, Wis.).

- The Falcons other score in the second half came off the foot of Anna Knueppel (Germantown, Wis.). Nicole Ciesielczyk (Waukesha, Wis.) set up the Knueppel score, which came about eight minutes after the lone Alverno goal. The Inferno got on the board in the 57th minute.

- Tabitha Ortiz (Plainfield, Ill.) continued her scoreless streak by posting 20:54 shutout minutes for the Falcons. CUW played four keepers on the day as Kaeley Sterkel (Dana Point, Calif.), Olivia Kindt (Dyer, Ind.) and Laura Snyder (Green Bay, Wis.) all saw action.
