Nine Women's Hockey players earn NCHA All-Academic honors


Northern Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic Team

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Concordia University Wisconsin had nine players earn Northern Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic honors, the league office announced. Senior Sara Cole is among a select group of student-athletes to have earned the honor for the third-consecutive year.

Cole (Plymouth, Minn.) is completing her degree in Marking and Business Administration. She finished her career with 103 games played and 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists). Her senior teammate Carly Piras (Eden Praire, Minn.), along with junior Maxine Blohowiak (Green Bay, Wis.) and sophomores Kelsey Dupuis (Glenview, Ill.), Kaitlyn Evans (Fairbanks, Alaska), Erin Grant (Allen Park, Mich.), Emily Heckendorf (Merrill, Wis.), Andrea Mizanskey (Palos Heights, Ill.), Elizabeth Otto (Stillwater, Minn.) received the NCHA academic accolade.

NCHA Commissioner Bill Kronschnabel announced Alyssa Jackson of UW-River Falls as the conference's Scholar-Athlete Award winner. Jackson is a three-time NCHA All-Academic Team member and has played in 116 games over her four years with the Falcons.

Freshmen are not eligible for the NCHA All-Academic Team.
