Men’s Track and Field Takes Sixth at NACC Outdoor Championships

DE PERE, Wis. – On Saturday, the Concordia Wisconsin men's track and field team closed the NACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Falcons finished sixth place with a total of 49 points. 

On the second day of competition, the Falcons scratched an additional 14 points. 

The Falcons experienced success in the two hurdle events as sophomore Bernie Van Den Heuvel (Valders, Wis.) took fifth place in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.08 seconds. Meanwhile, senior Paul Witto (Charleston, Ill.) took fifth in the 400-meter hurdles when he set a record of 59.68 seconds. Van Den Heuvel and Witto added four points each to the Falcon's total. 

In the 5,000-meter run, junior Tim Brey (Cedarburg, Wis.) took fourth place and helped the Falcons claim five points with a time of 15:24.07. 

The 4x100-meter relay saw the Falcon's team comprised of freshman Carson Wolford (Rushmore, Minn.), freshman Nick Taylor (West Bend, Wis.), sophomore Hunter Moore (Howards Grove, Wis.), and junior Colin Rerecich (Henderson, Nev.) combined for a time of 47.39 seconds and took eighth place.

Saturday was the final team competition for the Falcons in 2022.
