Falcon Throwers Compete at St. Norbert

DE PERE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin Falcons throws squad resumed competition on Saturday, April 29th, at the St. Norbert College Invitational, after competing the previous day, April 28th, at UW-Whitewater in preparation for next week's two-day conference championship meet. 

Senior Seth Day (Sunset Hills, Mo.) led the Falcons in the javelin throw, placing fourth after throwing 44.43 meters. Meanwhile, senior Theodore Ryder (Denver, Colo.) took 16th place and threw 25.70 meters. 

Day also found success in the discus throwing, claiming seventh place with a throw of 36.56 meters, while freshman John Kutner (Muskego, Wis.) placed 21st with a throw of 24.63 meters. 

Seth Day also led the Falcons in the hammer throw, recording a throw of 37.13 meters on his third and final attempt, placing 12th. 

The Falcons had two members participate in the shot put. In his third attempt, Theodore Ryder recorded a distance of 10.34 meters and claimed 17th place, while freshman John Kutner placed 22nd with a throw of 9.07 meters.

As a unit, Seth Day, Theodore Ryder, and John Kutner recorded consistent numbers compared to Friday's meet in Whitewater as they prepared to compete against NACC competition.  

CUW men's track and field team will travel and compete once again at St. Norbert College on Friday, May 5th, and Saturday, May 6th, at the NACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
