SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST: Falotico wasn't in the top 20 nationally headed into his final meet of the season, the Gregory Final Qualifier at North Central last Thursday. He moved into the top 20 with his PR throw of 60.75 meters. Falotico was 20th, however, a few athletes ahead of him will not be competing in the javelin throw, as he enters the meet ranked 17th.

SIX FOR SIX: Falotico has been perfect in terms of finishing in first place in the javelin throw this season. He has competed in the event at six meets and won each time. Dating back to last season, Falotico is 9-for-12 in gaining a first-place finish in the javelin throw.

THE FIELD: Falotico is one of eight sophomores to be competing in the javelin throw this weekend. In addition, seven juniors, four seniors, and one freshman qualified for the event. Andrew Bloom of Whitworth has the top throw this season, landing a toss of 69.88 meters.

FALCONS HISTORY: CUW does have some previous success in the men's javelin throw at the NCAA Championships. Brock Solveson captured the 2009 championship in the event, landing a throw of 63.52 meters for his individual title.
