Men's Tennis Ropes up the Raiders

GLENDALE, Wis. – The Falcons escaped with a 5-4 victory in a battle of two of the top teams in the NACC on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons handed the Raiders their first NACC loss of the year and improved to 8-9 on the year and 5-1 in the conference.

The Raiders took an early lead after taking two points in doubles play.

The Hoosier state team of senior Logan Snyder (Fort Wayne, Ind.) and freshman Landon Sather secured an 8-7 victory at No. 1 doubles. The duo cruised with a 7-1 victory in the tiebreaker.

Senior Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) picked apart Alex Nakasato at No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-0.

Landon Sather shredded Daniel Lukasek at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-2.

Logan Snyder sank Alec Dam at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-3.

Freshman Peter Naylor (Lockport, Ill.) secured the victory with a 2-6, 6-0, 9-6 over Ryan Emerich.

The Falcons are supposed to play Marian, but a makeup date has not been established.
