Men’s Tennis Competes at ITA Regionals

SAINT PETER, Minn. – The CUW men's tennis team competed at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships this weekend at Gustavus Adolphus.

Freshman Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) posted his first win of the weekend with two 6-3 victories. Senior Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) dropped his first match with scores of 4-6 and 3-6.

Freshman Peter Naylor (Lockport, Ill.) lost his first match with finals scores or 2-6 and 2-6.  Senior Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) posted a first match win taking 6-4 and 6-2 victories. 

In doubles, the Falcons saw a win from the pairing of Landon Sather and Logan Snyder with a score of 8-6.  Peters and Naylor saw a 6-8 tilt in their first doubles match.

Freshman Izak Roscher (Menominee Falls, Wis.) faltered in his single match that saw scores of 0-6 and 2-6.  Sophomore Isaac Bruins (Oak Creek, Wis.) posted scores of 4-6, 6-4, and 5-10.

Junior Josh Klement (Muskego, Wis.) won his singles matchup with scores of 6-1, 3-6, and 12-10.  The final Falcon single to compete would be Nathan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.) dropping his matchup 0-6 and 4-6.

Klement and Roscher headed into doubles after their singles matchups on Friday and took their first match with an 8-7 final score.

The Falcons return to action in the Spring when they take on Lawrence in February.
