Falcons Shine at the NACC Fall Invite

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's tennis team opened the 2021-22 season on Sunday afternoon at the NACC Fall Invite against athletes from Edgewood, Lakeland and Wisconsin Lutheran.

The team of senior Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) and freshman Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) won the invitational with an 8-4 victory over Edgewood's Nelson and Venske in the quarterfinals, an 8-2 victory in the semifinals over Sadowski and Newberg of Wisconsin Lutheran and an 8-1 victory over Peters and Naylor.

Senior Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) and freshman Peter Naylor (Lockport, Ill.) won the silver medal after topping Bass and Kannenberg of WLC in the quarterfinals and Klement and Roscher in the semifinals.

The duo of junior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) and freshman Izak Roscher (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) finished in fourth place, after starting the day with an 8-3 victory over White and Lipski of Wisconsin Lutheran.

In Draw Two, the team of sophomore Nathan Bilan (Greendale, Wis.) and sophomore Isaac Bruins (Oak Creek, Wis.) picked up three victories on the day.

The Falcons will see action again at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships on Oct. 1.
