CUW Battles in Two Matches

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – The Falcons continued their tough non-conference schedule on Saturday evening against Millikin and Wisconsin-Whitewater. The Big Blue of Millikin bit the Falcons in the first match of the day with a 6-3 victory. The Warhawks then flipped the Falcons, 9-0. The Falcons move to 0-4 on the young season.

The Blue and White earned victories at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles against Millikin due to forfeit.

At No. 3 singles, freshman Landon Sather (Fort Wayne, Ind.) sank Holden Owens, 6-2, 6-0.

The closest battle for the Falcons in doubles play against Whitewater was at No. 3 doubles, where junior Joshua Klement (Muskego, Wis.) and freshman Izak Roscher (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) fell, 6-8.

Landon Sather put up a battle at No. 3 singles, but fell, 7-5, 7-6 (4).

CUW looks to break into the win column on Friday night at Lawrence.
