Press Pass: Men's Soccer opens season Thursday

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Soccer team begins its 2016 season Thursday at home with a non-conference match against Lawrence. CUWFalcons.com gets you ready for the 2016 Men's Soccer opener.

THE BASICS
- Who: Lawrence University (4-13-1 in 2015) at Concordia University Wisconsin (15-3-1 in 2015)
- Where: Fitting Field – Mequon, Wis.
- When: 4:30 p.m.
- Live Coverage: CUWFalcons.com will have live video (weather permitting) and live stats available for Thursday's contest. Links can be found on the Men's Soccer schedule page.

DIGITAL GAME PROGRAM
- Fans can access the digital program for Thursday's match by clicking here. CUWFalcons.com switched last season to a digital program format. These can be accessed from this link, or by scanning a QR code at the match. Limited printed programs will be available at each match for $2.

LIVE VIDEO
- For the first time CUWFalcons.com is able to produce a live video stream for home soccer matches this season. All matches will be broadcast, unless weather does not allow for it.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Can the Falcons start the season on a winning note? CUW won its opener last season and went on to post a 15-3-1 record. The Falcons are also playing at home in the season opener for the first time since 2011 (a 2-0 win over St. Norbert).

-Who will start at goalkeeper? Alec Brew started 17 of the Falcons 19 matches last season. Brew has since graduated, as CUW will look to a new starting goalie. Killian Mielotz is the only returning goalkeeper as he made two starts last season, including the 2-1 win over Lawrence.

-CUW has 10 freshman and a couple transfers on the roster for the opener. What players will make an immediate impact for the Falcons?
