Men's Lacrosse picked second in MLC Preseason Poll

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin was picked second in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office.

The Falcons captured their first MLC regular season and MLC Tournament titles last season after going 15-4 overall and 11-0 in league play.

Aurora has been selected to win the 2020 MLC regular-season title, voted on by the league's head coaches. The Spartans received seven of the 13 first-place votes and 138 total points in the preseason poll, while the Falcons received four first-place votes and 131 points.

Benedictine was picked third with 128 points and a pair first-place votes. MSOE was fourth with 108 points, Marian fifth with 100 and Northwestern-St. Paul was sixth with 84. Beloit was tabbed seventh with 73 points, Monmouth eighth with 66 and Concordia Chicago was ninth with 63. Cornell followed in 10th with 48 points, Illinois Tech 11th with 34 and Fontbonne 12th with 26. North Central filled the last spot with 15.

The MLC's regular-season standings determine the teams that qualify for the six-team conference tournament, while the tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
