Falcons Fall to Green Knights

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's basketball team took on the Green Knights of St. Norbert inside the R. John Buuck Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.

The Falcons hopped out to a 12-point lead, their largest of the night, in the first 14 minutes of the matchup which was capped by a three-pointer from senior Grant Karsten (Decatur, Ill.). Karsten also hit a buzzer-beating three-point basket to end the half and break the 35-35 tie.

The Blue and White eyed their first victory inside the R. John Buuck fieldhouse with a three-point lead heading into the final frame.

The Green Knights pulled away from the Falcon in the second half with a final score of 74-64.

The flock was led by both Karsten and senior Freeman Jackson (Green Bay, Wis.) with 15 points. 

Karsten added five rebounds and two steals and Jackson added two rebounds.

Senior Gabe Pruss (North Fond Du Lac, Wis.) brought in 11 boards and was just two points shy of a double-double with eight. Senior Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) led the Falcons with 11 assists.

The birds take a brief break for Thanksgiving but will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on Wisconsin Lutheran away from home.
