Falcons light up scoreboard at Concordia Chicago

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Concordia Wisconsin scored in a variety of ways on Saturday afternoon and ran the scoreboard into the triple digits during an overwhelming 110-76 victory at Concordia Chicago.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons piled on 61 points in the opening half on 51.2 percent from the field, with three starters in double-figures. The first 20 minutes of play were enough to build a commanding 20-point lead and never look back.
- Concordia Wisconsin pushed its advantage to 31 points midway through the second half and continued to drain 3-pointers from all around the arc. They ended 14-of-28 from downtown and six players stroked a triple through the net.
- Senior Eric Kittel (Brillion, Wis.) led all scorers with 20 points (three 3-pointers, 7-of-7 free throws), while sophomore Josh Hau (Slinger, Wis.) had 19 points (four 3-pointers).
- Sophomore Andrew Fratzke (Winona, Minn.) recorded 13 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Junior Josh Erickson (Manitowoc, Wis.) and freshman Isaiah Tenette (Sacramento, Calif.) each had 11 points in the victory. Sophomore Noah Gosse (Green Bay, Wis.) recorded six points, eight rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes of work.
- Concordia Wisconsin had a 53-38 lead in rebounds, 22-12 difference in assists, 24-10 advantage in points off turnovers, 29-17 benefit in second-chance points and its bench outscored Concordia Chicago reserves 39-18.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Concordia Wisconsin's 110 points were the seventh most ever scored in a game in program history, while its 39 field goals were tied for the 10th most and the 14 3-pointers are tied for the ninth most in a contest. As well, the 53 rebounds are tied for the ninth most in a game.

THE OPPOSITION
- Kyle Hoffman tallied 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and a game-high four blocks.
- Israel Dosie had 17 points, nine rebounds and two steals; while Jarek Hotwagner scored 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists. Mitch Pelissier also scored 11 points.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin enters the NACC Tournament as the No. 3 seed and will host No. 6 Dominican on Wednesday at 7 pm inside the R. John Buuck Field House.
