Joe Cawley's Falcons got a real battle from host Lakeland before emerging with a harrowing 5 game win last evening.

The Muskies, dominant in the NAC in recent seasons, have been plagued by injuries this fall but were obviously geared up to end CUW's 8 match win string.

Lakeland won games one and three before CUW came from behind (14-22 at one point ) to squeak out game 4 and then dominate the 5th and deciding contest.

Lydia Meaden was outstanding with 19 kills to lead Concordia. "We were out of sync all night, but certainly showed character in the later stages of game four," said a relieved Coach Cawley.
