Mequon

25-23; 26-24; 25-17

Concordia trailed previously undefeated Edgewood by one game heading into last night's matchup so everything was on the line if the Falcons hoped to eventually wind up as NAC Champion.

Nobody would have expected this "must win" for Concordia to be a 3 game sweep but the Falcons managed just that, edging the Eagles in a pair of 2 point thrillers and then winning game three going away.

Edgewood's impressive hitting tandem of Mallory Palmer and Jessica Martin accounted for 26 kills but Concordia's defensive schemes accounted for 15 team blocks and CUW's Kelsey Lorenzen was amazing with 26 digs. Stephanie Boehm had 4 solo blocks and led Concordia with 13 kills.

CUW's 11th consecutive victory moved Joe Cawley's team into a first place tie with Edgewood at 8-1 in Northern Athletics Conference play. Benedictine, Dominican, and Wisconsin Lutheran are all 7-2 with 3 league matches remaining.

The Falcons have Rockford, Wisconsin Lutheran, and Marian left on their NAC schedule.
