CUW’s Roessler leads NAC volleyball awards

The Northern Athletics Conference has announced the awards for the 2009 women's volleyball season.

Senior middle blocker Katie Roessler (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) garnered her fourth First Team All-NAC honor, and was named the NAC's Player of the Year for the second-straight season. She was in the top three in the conference in hitting percentage (.322), kills per set (4.01) and points per set (4.70). In conference-only matches Roessler was the top scorer with 4.90 points per set for Concordia (21-10, 9-3 NAC).

CUW's Katy Vanderhyde, DS Jr. Denver, Colo. (Lutheran) made the all-sportsmanship team.
