Three from Softball named to Finlandia Dome Classic All-Tournament Team

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Softball team had three players named to the Finlandia Dome Classic All-Tournament Team, which was announced Monday afternoon by Finlandia. Molly O'Connell, Allison Peters, and Maddie Zazas were the Falcons selections on the team.

The trio helped lead CUW to a 2-2 record over the weekend with wins over St. Scholastica and UW-Stevens Point. The Falcons fell to No. 18 UW-Oshkosh and also dropped their final game against UW-Superior.

O'Connell (New London, Wis.) hit .385 for the Falcons over the four games with a double, a triple, three runs scored and three RBI. In addition, she picked up one win in the circle with a strong relief performance against St. Scholastica.

Peters (Elk Grove, Ill.) was the Falcons top hitter at the tournament, batting .615 with a team-best three doubles. She added a triple and scored a team-best four runs. Peters also swiped three bases over the weekend.

Zazas (Mundelein, Ill.) hit .333 over the four games and scored a pair of runs. She added a couple of steals and finished the week with a .429 on-base percentage.
