Budewitz collects NACC Men's Tennis Weekly Award

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Trevor Budewitz has been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Budewitz (junior – Watertown, Wis.) posted a perfect 3-0 record in singles play for the Falcons last week, and also went 2-1 in doubles action. CUW defeated Illinois Wesleyan and Concordia Seminary (St. Louis), while being edged by Greenville.

He had his toughest test in singles play in a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win over Illinois Wesleyan Thursday. He was dominant in singles play victories over Concordia Seminary and Greenville. He partnered with Jonah Fowle for a pair of wins in doubles play as well. The weekly award was the third of the season for the Falcons, with senior Benjamin Nommensen collecting the first two.

Budewitz and the rest of the Falcons will return to action this weekend by opening up NACC play with a pair of home matches. The Falcons will host Dominican and Concordia Chicago, with the first match of the day scheduled to start at 10 am.
