Esports Reels in More Wins
MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW esports team continued their hot streak last week with a pair of key wins for their titles.
The Falcons continue to hold the top spot in Overwatch and claimed it outright with a 3-0 victory over Grand View.
The Valorant squad took a big win from Mizou with a 2-0 final score.
Smash and Rainbow 6 Siege finished their weekends with 2-0 victories each.
The Call of Duty team dropped their first matchups of the season with a 0-3 score against Cumberland and a 2-3 loss to Dakota State. They made a huge comeback with a big 3-2 victory over Madison.
"Another week of pushing right along," said head coach Jack Slater. "Mizzou and Madison were two extremely big wins. Both are pretty big-name Division I schools. Those kinds of wins always fire us up. Overwatch is on an absolute roll, and this week we have the most anticipated matchup of the season vs Carroll. I touch on this every single week but I'm extremely proud of this current season. We're really putting in a lot of work to iron out all of the tiny mechanical portions of the game and it's starting to really set us apart from other teams."
