Concordia University Wisconsin Esports teams up with Mobalytics

Concordia University Wisconsin and Mobalytics, the 2016 Techcrunch winner that specializes in analytics-based tools in gaming, have formed a new partnership to improve and grow the university's esports program.

CUW, which founded its varsity esports program at the start of 2020, looks to use the gaming companion to strengthen their current League of Legends roster and bolster their scouting for future talent. Outside of LoL, CUW Esports also fields teams for Rocket League, Call of Duty, Overwatch, Fortnite and many more.

The Mobalytics platform has been used by professional teams due to its unique metrics and performance measurements. By entering the collegiate scene, they hope to accelerate the growth and potential of players in North America.

"There's a lot we can apply from the professional scene and we hope to accommodate the specific nuances that are unique to the collegiate level of play. Our two main goals are to maximize the potential of their current players and provide tools to help them find promising new talent. We're incredibly excited to build upon Concordia University Wisconsin's progress they've made thus far.," said Amine Issa, Warchief of Science, and co-founder of Mobalytics.

"Using statistics and analytics to improve our play has always been a method we put a lot of priority on, so a partnership with Mobalytics was extremely natural," said CUW Esports Director, Lewis Smith. "We have always seen our League of Legends division as one that we want to have as a staple of our program, so moves like this will help the division grow for years to come."

In addition, Mobalytics will also work with Concordia University Wisconsin to create new content for the League of Legends team like stat infographics based on the players and the LoL champions they field during competitions.
