LISLE, Ill. – The 89th minute was unkind to the Falcons on Wednesday night. Benedictine struck twice in the 89th minute to pick up a 2-0 victory to open NACC play. The loss sends CUW to 1-3-1 on the year and 0-1-0 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
Both teams posted some quality opportunities in the first half, but both goalies kept the match scoreless.
The Eagles broke the tie with a pair of goals in the 89th minute.
Junior Brooke Braga (Belgium, Wis.) recorded 11 saves on the night.
Senior Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) led the attack with 10 shots and five shots on goal.
The Falcons look to bounce back on Saturday at Aurora.
