Offense ranked among the best in nation
MEQUON, Wis.
- One thing the 2011 women's soccer team
(10-7-1, 9-3 NAC) will be remembered for is scoring. The Falcons
finished the season as the 28th ranked scoring team in the nation,
averaging 3.06 goals per match. CUW scored three or more goals in
nine matches, all victories.
Individually, junior Lauren Straehler (Pewaukee, Wis.)
and sophomore Hannah Brehmer (Eagle River, Alaska) ranked
nationally in several statistical categories.
Straehler was 43rd in points per
game, 49th in total points, 52nd in goals per game and 75th in
assists per game. Brehmer was 99th in points per game and 78th in
goals per game.
