Women’s Lacrosse Starts 2023 Campaign

MEQUON, Wis. – Excitement is in the air for the 2023 women's lacrosse season. The Falcons open the season on Friday afternoon at Elmhurst.

Concordia is led by head coach Emily Schoessow, who is in her 13th season leading the program.

The Falcons will be road warriors to start the season with three-straight road connects at Elmhurst, Franklin and Carthage.

The Falcons open the home portion of the schedule on March 10 against the Fighting Scots of Monmouth.

The Blue and White will travel to North Central before heading to Hilton Head, South Carolina to take on Muhlenberg and Westminster.

CUW closes non-conference play with a contest at Carroll and home contests against ST. Benedict and Kalamazoo.

The Falcons are projected to finish in third place in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. The Spartans of Aurora are projected to defend their tile, with Concordia Chicago in second place. Edgewood, Marian, Illinois Tech ad Beloit are predicted to round out the NACC in that order.

CUW opens NACC play with two home contests against Beloit and Edgewood. Benedictine can not field a team and will not play in 2023. CUW will then travel to Marian and Concordia Chicago. The final home contest of the regular season will be against Aurora before the Falcons wrap up the regular season on April 29 at Illinois Tech.

The NACC Tournament will be played on May 3 and 6.

The Falcons return three All-NACC selections from 2022. CUW returns the junior duo of Eliana Fuchs and Olivia Niego that were voted to the All-NACC Second Team. Junior Savannah Schweiger earned honorable mention honors in 2022.

CUW returns 15 Falcons to the roster in 2023 and added five new faces to the roster.
