Women’s Golf Finishes NACC Championship Week One

ROCKFORD, Ill. – The CUW women's golf team wrapped up their first week of the NACC Championships at Aldean Golf Course on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons will head to Quit Qui Oc on Friday in fifth place with 781 total strokes. Aurora continues to lead the pack with 655 strokes.

The Blue and White finished with two top-10 finishers with junior Rebecca Curley (Winthrop Harbor, Ill.) and sophomore Elizabeth Montaba (Elkhart Lake, Wis.) finishing in eighth and ninth place respectively.

Curley cut six strokes off of her day-one score with an 87-stroke round for a total of 180 strokes.

Montaba went low on day two with an 85-stroke round which was 11 strokes less than Friday as well as a team-low for day two. She finished with 181 total strokes.

Sophomore Kaylee McCarty (Adell, Wis.) finished day two with 108 strokes and a final, weekend score of 205 strokes.

Freshman Shauna Grahn (New Berlin, Wis.) cut three strokes off of her score coming off of the course on day two with a total of 106 strokes. She finished with 215 total strokes.

Senior Megan McPike (Mequon, Wis.) rounded out the flock with a total score of 242strokes after a second-day score of 122 strokes.

The Blue and White head to Quit Qui Oc in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on Friday to host the second and final weekend of the NACC Championships.
