Zastrow finishes 9th, Women's Golf takes 4th at NACC Championship

KANSASVILLE, Wis. – Maddy Zastrow continued her strong performance at the NACC Championship on Sunday and finished in ninth place to earn All-NACC honors, while Concordia Wisconsin ended the 54-hole NACC Championship in fourth place at Brighton Dale Links.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin dropped one spot on the leaderboard in fourth place and shooting a 390 on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons had a three-day total of 1,166 (388-388-390).
- Junior Maddy Zastrow (Greendale, Wis.) was again consistent on Sunday afternoon, carding a 91 to end the 54-hole tournament with a 273 total (95-87-91). Her efforts put her in ninth place on the leaderboard, which gave her All-NACC honors. Zastrow had five pars during the final 18 holes of play.
- Freshman Leah Wilde (Kewaskum, Wis.) ended the event in 12th place, which was two spots shy of earn all-league honors. She had a 283 total (99-91-93) and her final round included a birdie on the par 4 282-yard 11th hole, to go along with four pars.
- Junior Haley Olkiewicz (Oshkosh, Wis.) ended in a tie for 20th after signing for a 304 total (94-103-107). She concluded the final four with four pars.
- Sophomore Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) tied for 23rd on the leaderboard with a 310 total (100-108-102). She improved six strokes from round two by making a par and eight bogeys.
- Junior Emily Hillmann (Germantown, Wis.) concluded the tournament in 25th position with a 316 total (105-107-104). She sunk four par putts during the final round.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Zastrow concluded the event by paring the par 5 476-yard 10th hole and the par 4 385-yard 13th hole in each round. She also had pars in two of the three rounds on the third, sixth and 18th holes. Zastrow recorded 19 pars throughout the 54 holes.
- Wilde played the par 3 135-yard eighth hole in 1-under during the tournament with a birdie and two pars. The rookie had a team-best two birdies, while also making 14 pars in the event.
- Olkiewicz registered nine par putts with the flat stick.
- Haen drained four pars during the championship tournament.
- Hillmann had eight pars, with seven of those coming on the back nine.
- Concordia Wisconsin has had at least one golfer earn All-NACC honors in the 11 seasons of the championship.

TOURNAMENT AWARDS
- Aurora captured the NACC Championship with a 54-hole total of 1,066 (357-359-350), which was 43 strokes better than second place. It was the third-straight title the Spartans have won in a row.
- Ellyn Mortell (Wisconsin Lutheran) won medalist honors with a 252 total (80-88-84) and was two strokes ahead of Jennifer Feliciano (Aurora).
- Benedictine's Kayla McHale, who was tied for fourth overall, won Freshman of the Year honors with a 262 total (88-88-92).
- Aurora head coach Justin Wyeth took home NACC Coach of the Year honors for the third-straight year.
