Women's Golf begins season at Shootout on the Border

BRISTOL, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin began its 2016-17 at the Shootout on the Border during Friday's 18-hole round at Bristol Oaks Golf Club. The Falcons find themselves in 12th place, while Maddy Zastrow led the team with a score of 87.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons find themselves in 12th place after day one of the 36-hole Shootout on the Border, hosted by Carthage. They shot a team score of 384.
- Junior Maddy Zastrow (Greendale, Wis.) paces the CUW lineup with a career-low 15-over-par 87 and finds herself in 25th place on the leaderboard.
- Junior Haley Olkiewicz (Oshkosh, Wis.) shot a 96 and is in 56th, while sophomore Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) had a 100.
- Freshman Leah Wilde (Kewaskum, Wis.) signed for a 101 and senior Amanda Gorshe (Appleton, Wis.) ended with a 108.
- UW-Whitewater holds a six-shot advantage on the field, with Carthage and Hope in second place with a 322 team score.
- Kaitlin Bowe (UW-Whitewater) and Britni Gielow (Hope) each fired a 5-over-par 77 to lead all players.
