Wilde paces Women's Golf at quadrangular

MEQUON, Wis. – Leah Wilde paced Concordia Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon at Mee-Kwon Golf Course with a 90, while the Falcons took second amongst four teams at the par 70 course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons hosted their first even of the season, a quadrangular with Alverno, Lakeland and Wisconsin Lutheran. They placed second overall with a 392 team score and had two golfers finish with sub-100 scores.
- Freshman Leah Wilde (Kewaskum, Wis.) led Concordia Wisconsin with a 90 (44-46), which included seven pars throughout the round. She started the back nine with three pars in the first five holes.
- Junior Maddy Zastrow (Greendale, Wis.) shot a 96 (45-51) and carded a pair of pars on the front nine.
- Sophomore Kayla Haen (Appleton, Wis.) had a 103 (50-53) and drained a par putt to begin her round and on the par-3 156-yard third hole.
- Freshman Leanne Siewert (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) began her collegiate career with a 103 (51-52), which included a par on the sixth hole (the longest of the par 3s at 175 yards).
- Senior Amanda Gorshe (Appleton, Wis.) ended the 18-hole round with a 107 (49-58) and carded a par on the par-5 452-yard fourth hole.
- The event was the first of Wilde and Siewert's careers.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Lakeland won the event with a team score of 367.
- Ellyn Mortell (Wisconsin Lutheran) took medalist honors with a 12-over-par 83, which was a stroke better than Sammi Williams (Lakeland).
