Concordia improved to 17-8 overall with a 58-53 win over host Benedictine (16-9) this afternoon in the NAC North-South crossover game.

CUW led most of the way but BU cut the deficit to 52-50 with 3:53 remaining before a jump shot by Kendall Kerns and 2-shot free throw successes by Tiffany Hendrickson and Melanie Kulibert gave Concordia some breathing room.

Kerns led the Falcons with 12 points while Becky Gifford (11); Megan Bernardoni (10); Katie Luethe (9); and Hendrickson (8) provided the typical CUW balance.

Stacey Brunner-Jones' team #3 seed will open the NAC tourney trail at home Tuesday night against #6 Rockford.
