Falcon women clobbered by Ann Arbor 83-48

Concordia- Ann Arbor (15-8) controlled all facets of the game from the outset in the process of defeating the Falcons 83-48 Friday afternoon in round one of the CIT.

Five players reached double figures for a tall and athletic Ann Arbor team, which led by a huge 44-16 margin by halftime.

CUW, which fell to 13-6 on the season, shot just 20% in the first half and turned the ball over with alarming regularity against Cardinal pressure.

The talented hosts also outrebounded Stacey Brunner-Jones' Falcons by a 50-29 margin.

Seven players had 4 or more rebounds for the victors (Hannah Sabol topped CU-AA stats with12) while Megan Bernardoni led CUW with just 4 boards.

CUW will play regular season NAC opponent Concordia-Chicago on Saturday afternoon in the consolation game.
