Men’s Tennis wins fourth in a row with defeat of Saint Mary’s

JACKSON, Wis. – The Falcons took down the Cardinals in their first home match in a month as Concordia Wisconsin defeated Saint Mary's 5-4. 

THE BASICS
-Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 5, Saint Mary's 4
-Order of Finish: Doubles (2,3,1), Singles (5,2,4,1,3,6)
-Records: Concordia Wisconsin 9-6, Saint Mary's 5-10

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Falcons started the match with a pair of wins at No. 2 and 3 doubles. They then lost the No. 1 match to enter the singles part of the competition up 2-1.
-No. 5 singles finished first, with Gabe Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) winning 6-2, 6-4.
-Christian Docter (Madison, Wis.) followed with a 6-4, 7-5 win at the No. 2 spot.
-Down 4-1 and facing defeat, the Cardinals stayed alive with a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles.
-The Falcons won the match with Nolan Rademacher's (Monument, Colo.) 6-4, 6-4 win in No. 1 singles.
-Saint Mary's took the final two singles matches, but it would not be enough to change the outcome of the match, as CUW won 5-4.
