Men’s Tennis defeats Ripon, falls to Carthage

RACINE, Wis. – The Falcons fell in their season opener before bouncing back with a sweep in their second match as Concordia Wisconsin lost 8-1 to Carthage and won 9-0 over Ripon on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Concordia Wisconsin struggled in their season opener against Carthage, falling 8-1.
-Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) at No. 6 singles won the lone point for the Falcons with a 7-6, 6-4 win over Oscar Irazoque.
-The Falcons fared far better in their second match against Ripon with a 9-0 sweep.
-Nathan Raskin (Shorewood, Wis.) won his No. 1 singles match against Preston Wurtz 6-0, 6-0. Logan Snyder (Franklin, Ind.) also won his No. 3 singles match without giving up a game.
-In doubles, the team of Nolan Rademacher (Monument, Colo.) and Peter Kloda (Morton Grove, Ill.) took down Wurtz and Marcus Austin 8-1. Christian Docter (Madison, Wis.) and Peter swept Ripon at No. 2 doubles 8-0.
