Men’s Tennis takes down Carroll in home opener

JACKSON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin won their home opener 6-3 over Carroll on Sunday to improve to 2-1 on the season. The Falcons have a two-game winning streak.

THE BASICS
-Final Score: Concordia Wisconsin 6, Carroll 3
-Order of Finish: Doubles (3,2,1), Singles (5,6,3,4,1,2)
-Location: Pleasant Valley Tennis Center – Jackson, Wis.
-Records: Concordia Wisconsin 2-1, Carroll 0-1

 HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Falcons took the #2 and #3 doubles matches over the Pioneers with a pair of 8-1 victories.
-Carroll prevented a doubles sweep with an 8-2 win in the #1 match.
-In singles, the Falcons cleaned up in the #5 and #6 matches as Gabe Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) and Tim Peters (Slinger, Wis.) each won while giving up only a single game.
-Down 4-1, the Pioneers got a 6-3, 6-1 win at the #3 spot from Ian Foster.
-Peter Kloda (Morton Grove, Ill.) got the match-winning fifth point with a 6-0, 6-2 win at the #4 spot.
-The Falcons would win one more as Nolan Rademacher (Monument, Colo.) defeated Chayce Roecker 7-5, 6-2 in the #1 singles match.
