Men’s Tennis begins season at Key City Doubles Tournament

DUBUQUE, Iowa – Concordia Wisconsin's Men's Tennis program normally competes in one fall tournament in preparation for the spring and on Saturday the Falcons performed well at the Key City Doubles Tournament.

The pairing of senior Peter Kloda (Morton Grove, Ill.) and junior Nathan Knapp (Plymouth, Wis.) finished a perfect 3-0 and won the C Flight Finals. The duos of junior Christian Docter (Madison, Wis.) and sophomore Nolan Rademacher (Monument, Colo.), along with junior Gabe Binversie (Plymouth, Wis.) and junior Nathan Raskin (Shorewood, Wis.) each went 2-1.

Kloda and Knapp cruised during their first match with an 8-0 against a pairing from Loras. They then defeated a Greenville doubles team 8-4 before winning the C Flight Final with an 8-4 victory against Loras. 

Binversie and Raskin had a difficult time in their opening match against Loras, winning 9-8 (4-0) to advance in the winner's bracket. They added an 8-5 win over Loras before losing 8-4 against Greenville to take second place.

Docter and Rademacher dropped their opening contest 8-3 to set them back in the bracket. They responded with an 8-6 win over Loras, along with an 8-2 victory against Dubuque to take fifth place.
