Men’s Soccer Goes the Distance at Wisconsin Lutheran

WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The Falcons once again found themselves in an overtime battle on Wednesday night at Wisconsin Lutheran. The Falcons and Warriors played to a scoreless tie. The Falcons move to 4-1-1 on the season and WLC moves to 2-3-1 on the year.

The tie on Wednesday puts a pause on clinching a spot in the NACC Tournament. The Blue and White now sit in second place with 13 points in the North Division standings.

The Falcons had plenty of opportunities in regulation and had 21 shots in regulation and 25 in the match. Sophomore Ivan Cuellar (Milwaukee, Wis.) led the flock with five shots on Wednesday, with two on goal.

Sophomore Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) anchored a defense that did not allow a goal for the second time this season. In net, he collected four saves in the tie.

The Blue and White will celebrate senior day on Wednesday against Edgewood.
