Karvala claims medalist honor at Old Hickory

BEAVER DAM, Wis. – The CUW men's golf team recorded a second-place finish at 329 strokes against MSOE and Wisconsin Lutheran at the Old Hickory Golf Club. Wisconsin Lutheran won at 316 strokes and MSOE finished in third place at 350 strokes.

Senior Dylan Karvala (New Berlin, Wis.) claimed the medalist title at 77 strokes, defeating Solomon Zarling of Wisconsin Lutheran in a scorecard tiebreaker.

Junior Jordan Carlton (Kewaskum, Wis.) finished in fifth place at 80 strokes on the afternoon.

Shooting at 85 strokes on the day was senior Wyatt Wilderman (Waukesha, Wis.) in 11th place.

Freshman Nick Klemm (Sussex, Wis.) clocked in at 87 strokes to end the day tied for 13th place.

Senior Nate Benjamin (Tucson, Ariz.) recorded a round of 91 strokes in 17th place.

Competing as individuals were senior Cody Faber (Wilmot, Wis.) in 12th place at 86 strokes and freshman Casey Mindt (Beaver Dam, Wis.) in a tie for 19th place at 93 strokes.

The Falcons will compete on Oct. 5 at the MSOE Invitational.
