Jones ties for 6th, Men's Golf finishes 4th at NACC Championship

AURORA, Ill. – Bill Jones ended his career on a high note on Monday, placing in a tie for sixth place at the NACC Championship, while Concordia Wisconsin ended its season fourth in the team standings at Stonebridge Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Bill Jones (New Holstein, Wis.) had never performed well at the NACC Championship by his standards, with a tie for 29th as his best finish during his freshman season. His final attempt at a top-10 finish and All-NACC honors were successful, as he tied for sixth place with a 315 total (80-72-82-81).
- Concordia Wisconsin wasn't able to move up the leaderboard and ended in fourth place overall with 1,284 strokes. The Falcons shot rounds of 336-307-316-325.
- Freshman Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) tied for 16th on the leaderboard after signing for 322 strokes (93-81-72-76). He was the only Falcon to shoot two rounds in the 70s.
- Freshman Sam Schlosser (West Bend, Wis.) tied for 19th overall after totaling 323 strokes (83-76-82-82). He had eight birdies and 10 pars combined on Sunday and Monday.
- Sophomore Jacob Tenlen (Montreal, Wis.) finished in 32nd as an individual with a 337 (89-78-84-86) and birdied both par 5s on the front night during rounds three and four.
- Sophomore Jake Lipski (New Berlin, Wis.) didn't compete in all four rounds, but shot scores of 80 and 86 in the second half of the championship.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Jones ends his career with an 80.9 scoring average, which is the fourth best in program history (2006-present) after playing in 74 career rounds. He averaged a career-low 79.5 during his senior year.
