Otto ties for 6th, Men's Golf places 6th at Carthage Spring Invitational

KENOSHA, Wis. – A trio of Falcons shot scores in the 70s and Concordia Wisconsin finished sixth at the Carthage Spring Invitational at Kenosha Country Club on Monday. Andrew Otto paced the lineup with a tie for sixth place after shooting a 74.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin continued its busy stretch of competition and placed sixth amongst 12 competing teams. They shot a 312 team score and had three golfers in the 70s.
- Freshman Andrew Otto (Kewaskum, Wis.) led the Falcons again, this time with a 4-over- par 77 to tie for sixth on the individual leaderboard.
- Senior Bill Jones (New Holstein, Wis.) carded an 8-over par 78 to tie for 22nd, while sophomore Jacob Tenlen (Montreal, Wis.) had a 79 to tie for 25th overall.
- Sophomore Jake Lipski (New Berlin, Wis.) shot an 81 to tie for 40th and junior Kyle Rebholz (West Bend, Wis.) rounded out the lineup with an 83 to tie for 49th position.

BEYOND THE RESULTS
- The event was a good test for the Falcons to find out where they are with a week before the second half of the NACC Championship because after 36 holes of play they sit in a tie for third with Wisconsin Lutheran and behind Marian and Aurora. During the event, Marian shot a 310 and Aurora had a 314 team score.
- Host Carthage won the tournament with a 295 team score and was 10 strokes in front of second-place Elmhurst.
- Matt Lynch (Carthage) won medalist honors with a 1-over par 71 to edge Luke Grogger (Wheaton) by a stroke.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin travels to Springfield, Ill., for the two-day, 36-hole North Central Invitational at The Rail Golf Course.
