Men's Basketball Duo Secures CSC Academic All-District Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The Falcons landed three honorees to the CSC Academic All-District Team in junior Jonah Jurss and senior Samuel Meerstein.

This is the second consecutive year, that the Concordia Wisconsin men's basketball team has landed two honorees. CUW had Grant Karsten and Jared Jurss claim the honor in 2023.

A junior Guard from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Jonah Jurss finished the season with 71 points, 52 rebounds, 29 steals and 25 assists.

A senior forward from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Samuel Meerstein secured 350 points, 160 rebounds, 73 assists, 42 steals and 12 blocks in the 2023-24 season.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16, 2024.
