Sam Meerstein Named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its weekly honors on Tuesday morning. Sam Meerstein was voted as the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week for men's basketball. The athletic communications professionals within the conference vote on the Student-Athlete of the Week Awards.

A senior from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Samuel Meerstein is claiming the honor for the first time in his career. He is also the first Falcon to claim the honor since Jordan Johnson on Feb. 6, 2022.

Meerstein started the week with a dominant performance against Concordia Chicago with a career-high 32 points and also added 10 rebounds and five assists in the 85-77 Concordia Invitational Tournament semifinal victory.

He then had 21 points, eight rebounds, and three assists in the final against Concordia Nebraska.

For his performance, Meerstein was also voted to the CIT All-Tournament Team.

Meerstein and the Falcons return to action on Wednesday against Aurora.
