Men's Basketball Wraps Up Michigan Road Trip

HOLLAND, Mich. – Saturday saw the CUW men's basketball team close out their Michigan road trip against the undefeated Flying Dutchmen of Hope College.

Hope would get the best of Concordia Wisconsin, as the Falcons fell with a final score of 96-49.

Halfway through the first half, the Flying Dutchmen held a 30-12 lead. But the Falcons would go on a small run to cut Hope's lead to 37-25, as senior Gabe Pruss (Fond du Lac, Wis.) completed the three-point play with nearly five minutes remaining in the first.

Gabe Pruss led the Falcons at the half with 12 points and five rebounds while fellow senior Zech Hans (Oconomowoc, Wis.) added eight points, as CUW found themselves down 53-29.

The second half saw the Flying Dutchmen extend their lead, securing the 96-49 win over the Falcons.  

In the loss, freshman Severin Hilt (West Bend, Wis.) recorded his first collegiate points following a layup. Freshman Mekhi Sutton (San Diego, Calif.) added four points off the bench, and senior T.K. Huff (Milwaukee, Wis.) snagged four rebounds.

Gabe Pruss led the Blue and White with 18 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. Pruss was also six of eight from the free-throw line.

CUW men's basketball will now look ahead to their home and conference opener against the Raiders of MSOE, on Wednesday, Nov. 29th, with tip-off set for 7 p.m.
