Men's Basketball can't slow down Lakeland

MEQUON, Wis. -- Lakeland came out red-hot on Tuesday night, making 11 3-pointers in the opening half, and Concordia Wisconsin couldn't get the stops it needed defensively in the later stages of the second half. The Muskies walked away from the R. John Buuck Field House with a 109-87 NACC victory inside.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams traded blows throughout the first half from long-range, and at one point four-consecutive combined triples were made during a 46-second span in the early minutes of the game. The Falcons led by nine, 26-17, but the Muskies came back with a 19-7 scoring run to get right back into the contest.
- The visitors just couldn't miss and entered the intermission with a 10-point lead after shooting 63.9 percent in the first 10 minutes, which included 11 3-pointers. Concordia Wisconsin had a hot hand itself, making 64.7 percent of its attempts and tying a season-high with eight 3-pointers.
- Lakeland's lead hovered around the single-digit range until seven minutes to go in the game when it grew. 
- Concordia Wisconsin had all five starters score in double-figures and sophomore Jared Jurss (Sheboygan, Wis.) recorded a double-double with a game-high 21 points (five 3-pointers) and 12 assists.
- Junior Joey Zietlow (Oak Creek, Wis.) had 17 points, while sophomore Brandon Keller (Plymouth, Wis.) recorded 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Juniors Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) and Camden Flowers (West Bend, Wis.) added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
- Lakeland was led by Carlos Campos who had 20 points. Isaac Anderson recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, to go along with three steals and two blocks.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin travels to River Forest, Illinois for the annual Concordia Invitational Tournament on Friday, with an 8 pm contest setup against Concordia Chicago, which will also be a NACC game.
