Strong second half gives Falcons road NACC win

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin turned a seven-point halftime deficit into 72-68 victory at MSOE after shooting 64 percent in the second half during a NACC contest inside the Kern Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin shot a decent 40.7 percent during the first 20 minutes of play, but found itself down by seven points (37-30) at the intermission. The second half was completely different, as four Falcons made three field goals each en route to the team shooting a blistering 64.0 percent.
- The Falcons trailed for the majority of the second half, but finally took a 61-60 lead on a Josh Hau layup. The field goal sparked a 13-8 scoring run over the final five minutes and 36 seconds.
- Hau (junior, Slinger, Wis.) had 19 points to lead the visitors, while sophomore Olalekan George (Milwaukee, Wis.) had a career-high 12 points after making four field goals and four free throws in 11 minutes. He also grabbed five rebounds.
- Freshman Jordan Johnson (Cedarburg, Wis.) had 11 points off the bench and junior Andrew Fratzke (Winona, Minn.) added 10 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
- Concordia Wisconsin pounded the ball in the paint and scored 42 of its points in the middle area of its offensive zone.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons ended shooting 51.9 percent, which was the third highest this season. They also held the Raiders to 38.7 percent from the field.
- MSOE won the rebounding battle 44-30 and grabbed 18 offensive rebounds.

THE OPPOSITION
- Jason Palesse had a game-high-tying 19 points, to go along with eight rebounds and three assists. Matthew Kirmse added 18 points and Jake Gebert hauled in a game-high 11 rebounds (five offensive).
- Sammy Linn scored 13 points off the bench and Tegan Miles grabbed 10 rebounds.
