Courtside Notes: Battle of NACC's preseason's best

NEWSWORTHY NOTES
•  PRESEASON TOP TWO: Aurora and Concordia Wisconsin were picked to be the top two teams in the NACC, according to the Preseason Poll voted on by the league's head coaches and athletic communicators. The Spartans received 16 first-place votes, while the Falcons had four first-place votes.
• SCORING LOAD: The scoring load this season has been balanced, with three different players leading the team in scoring through four games. Josh Hau has twice led the team with 24 and 19 point games, while Dane Fronek had a career-high 16-point outing and Jake Jurss netted 19 in the season opener. Concordia Wisconsin has three players averaging double-figures this season.
• 3-POINTERS GOING IN: The Falcons love the deep ball and lead the NACC with 9.3 3-pointers per game. They drained 12 triples in their last game at Lakeland and are shooting 40.2 percent. Jake Jurss leads the team with 16 long balls and is shooting 55.2 percent from behind the arc.
• CLOSE LATELY: Aurora may lead the series during the NACC-era (13-7), but the last six meetings have been even with both teams winning three. Within those three wins in the last six meetings by the Falcons, they scored 120 points on February 13, 2016, which was the second most points scored in a game in program history.
• SCOUTING AURORA: The Spartans have split its four games this season (W, L, W, L), including the last two in league play. They rank first in the NACC in 3-point attempts (28.8 per game) and are led by Marcus Myers 17.8 points per game.
