Men's Basketball picked to finish second in NACC Preseason Poll

WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin was chosen to finish in second place in the NACC Preseason Poll, voted on by the league's head coaches and athletic communicators.

The Falcons finished the 2016-17 season with a 18-10 overall record and a 14-6 record in NACC play. They advanced to the NACC Tournament Championship game for the second time in program history last year.

Aurora received 16-of-22 first-place votes and 232 points in the preseason poll.

Concordia Wisconsin was second with 210 points and four top votes, defending champion Benedictine was third with 205 points and a pair of first-place votes. Wisconsin Lutheran was fourth with 176 points.

MSOE was fifth with 135 points, followed by Dominican in sixth with 119 and Marian seventh with 108. Lakeland was eighth with 84, Edgewood ninth with 81 and Rockford came in 10th with 62. Concordia Chicago filled out the final spot with 40 points.

The NACC's regular season standings determine the teams that qualify for the six-team conference tournament, while the tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the NCAA III Championship Tournament.
