Falcons Land on All-NACC Squads

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its All-Conference teams on Monday afternoon. The Falcons earned one first-team selection in Josiah McDermit, five onto the second team in Tim Houlihan, Jerrell Carey, Justice Kaneta, Juan Diaz and Pierre Summers III. CUW also had five honorable mention selections.

Josiah McDermit

A senior defensive back from Kansasville, Wisconsin, Josiah McDermit is making his third-straight All-NACC First Team appearance. McDermit created a no-fly zone for NACC offenses in 2021 with five interceptions on the season. He led the NACC with two interceptions that he returned for touchdowns and finished the year with 34 tackles.

Jerrell Carey

A junior offensive lineman from Chicago, Illinois, Jerrell Carey is making his first appearance on an All-NACC team. Carey was a staple for the Falcons offensive line that scored 20 or more points in every game this year.

Juan Diaz

A senior defensive lineman from Longwood, Florida, Juan Diaz is appearing on an All-NACC team for the first time in his career. Diaz finished the season with 38 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, one sack and one pass break up.

Tim Houlihan

A senior wide receiver from Lockport, Illinois, Tim Houlihan is claiming All-NACC honors for the first time in his career. Houlihan proved himself as one of the top receivers in the NACC with 751 yards and averaged 14.7 yards per catch. He also snagged nine touchdowns on the season. Houlihan was sixth in the NACC averaging 75.1 yards per game.

Justice Kaneta

A sophomore linebacker from Brighton, Colorado, Justice Kaneta is collecting his first All-NACC honor. The Colorado native led the flock in tackles in 2021 with 68. He also recorded three sacks, seven tackles for a loss and one interception he returned for 53 yards.

Pierre Summers III

A freshman running back from Columbus, Georgia, Pierre Summers III is making his first All-NACC team as a returner. Summers led the NACC with an average of 23.5 yards per return and returned a kick, back for a touchdown. He also rushed for 356 yards and four touchdowns.

Named to the All-NACC Honorable Mention was junior wide receiver Christian Booker from Chicago, Illinois, freshman placekicker Andre Casas from Oswego, Illinois, senior defensive back Gabe Christenson from Kewaskum, Wisconsin, junior defensive back Evan Lischka from Manitowoc, Wisconsin and senior linebacker Connor Stoming from Germantown, Wisconsin.

Booker finished the year with 431 yards through the air and caught six touchdowns.

Casas led the NACC in conference play with five field goals made. He also made 32 P-A-T on the year.

Christenson secured 37 tackles on the year while picking off two passes.

Lischka led the flock with six pass breakups and recorded two interceptions and 38 tackles.

Stoming finished the year second on the team in tackles with 56. He also had 2.5 sacks, and 4.5 tackles for a loss.
