MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons battled with Benedictine in a back and forth affair in the NACC opener for both teams. The Eagles came out on top with a 31-20 victory to hand the Falcons their first loss of the 2021 season.

The Falcons drew first blood on Saturday with a 26-yard touchdown pass to junior Christian Booker (Chicago, Ill.) from senior James Linn (Chino Hills, Calif.).

The Falcons regained the lead in the second quarter with a pair of field goals from freshman Andre Casas (Oswego, Ill.) from 40 and 36 yards away.

Senior Tim Houlihan (Lockport, Ill.) caught an eight-yard pass from Linn in the third quarter to give the Falcons back the lead.

The Falcons fought until the end and had the comeback on the mind until a pick-six in the final minute of play to dash the hopes of a comeback.

Sophomore Justice Kaneta (Brighton, Colo.) led the game with 12 tackles in the game.
