Football Tandem Claim NACC Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – For the second time this season, the Falcons have snagged two NACC Honors in one week.

Sophomore Ben Kraft (Wauwatosa, Wis.) claimed the honor of NACC Defensive Player of the Week and freshman Pierre Summers III (Columbus, Ga.) claimed NACC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Kraft led the Falcon defense in total tackles bringing in 15 (8 solo – 7 assist) as well as snagging one interception for 17 yards and a pass breakup.  The defense held one of the top producing offenses in NCAA Division III to seven points after they averaged nearly 42 points per game prior.

Summers led the Falcon kick return game fielding one kickoff for a blistering 84 yards and, eventually, a touchdown.  On top of this, Summers added 12 rushing attempts for 150 yards and a second touchdown.  The Falcon offense showed off putting up 41 points on Saturday.

The Falcons return to NACC action when they hit the road to take on the Eureka Red Devils on Saturday.
