Nixon, Mason earn NACC Football Weekly honors

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin quarterback Aaron Nixon and kicker/punter Jacob Mason each earned Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honors for their efforts, the league office announced.

Nixon (sophomore, North Prairie, Wis.) was named NACC Offensive Player of the Week after a career performance that included six touchdown passes, 369 passing yards on 28-of-43 and 427 total offensive yards. He also rushed for 58 yards and in the end accounted for every offensive touchdown in CUW's 49-14 win at Concordia Chicago.

Mason (freshman, Hartford, Wis.) converted all seven of his extra-point attempts in the Falcons' Saturday victory. The rookie added three punts for 151 yards, including one that pinned the Cougars inside the 20.

The conference weekly honor is the second of Nixon's career and the first for Mason.
